Black & white photographic postcard of Cardwell Post Office, located on Victoria Street at the corner with Balliol Street. This was the original Telegraph Station and Post Office built in 1870, one of the oldest buildings in North Queensland. It functioned as a post office until 1983

Black and white original photograph of the Cardwell Shire Council Depot, Bryant Street, Tully, known as the Igloo. Depot staff are standing in front of two council graders. Named for it's rounded roof, the Igloo was located adjacent to the fire station. After the new depot was opened on Andersen Street the old igloo was moved to the showgrounds and refurbished. It was officially opened as the JP Byrne Indoor Sports Stadium in 1984

Sepia original photograph of the original Cardwell Divisional Board Hall which became the Cardwell Shire Hall. Located at 51 Victoria Street, it was built in 1892. It was refurbished in 1988 but was severely damaged by Cyclone Yasi in 2011 and subsequently rebuilt

Black and white photograph of the original Cardwell State School building which was erected in 1887, taken in the early 1930s. The school bell on its post can be seen to the right. This building was replaced in 1935 when a new school was constructed on the site
