Photograph of pupils on "parade" at Banyan Provisional School, which opened on the sugar mill site on 30 June, 1924 with 50 pupils. The teacher was Mr. Johnson. The school moved to the present site and the named changed to Tully in 1925

Black & white photograph of the Tully State School building on Mars Street. This building burnt down in November 1935. A new brick building was completed for the 1938 school year. Banyan Provisional School opened in June 1924, but the name was changed to Tully in 1925. It became Tully State School in 1926. St Clare's Roman Catholic Church can be seen in the rear centre

Malin, was a bookseller in the new town of Tully. Ernest Malin also served as a Cardwell Shire Councillor in the 1930s

The property was that of J.D. Irving, who drew a block at Jaffa. As well as farming and canecutting, Irving was recorded as "bending steel on the Jubilee Bridge" in the early times
