Sepia photograph of the three sons of Margaret and William Pershouse, who came to the Cardwell district from Gladstone in 1880. They built a family home at 'Glenwarn' (located within the junction of Meunga and Kennedy Creeks). The brothers were to own a timber mill at Carruchan which later belonged to Brown & Broad Ltd

Sepia photograph of prominent pioneer of the Cardwell district, Johann Christian Hubinger, who arrived in Cardwell in 1869. He was one of the first members of the Cardwell Divisional Board appointed in 1884 and served on the Divisional Board and then the Cardwell Shire Council for over 22 years. He died in office as Chairman in 1908
