It was finally completed in December 1924. The section from Innisfail to El Arish was completed on 18th December, 1922, and the El Arish to Feluga section was completed on 3rd December, 1923 and opened for public traffic

Photograph of Euramo Hotel in about the 1930s. This building was built in 1928 but burnt down in August 1971. The licensees at the time of the fire were Alf and Olga Beltrame. A new building was soon constructed on the site
