In the midst of a heart attack, Anna knocks on her neighbour's door. Sam answers. But when the paramedics arrive, Sam collapses - he's taken an overdose. It's an unconventional start to a relationship. And these are not your conventional soulmates. Anna, who has given up on love, is defensive and closed off. Sam, a newly separated father-of-two, is reactive and emotionally vulnerable.
