The Borgna family at their Feluga cane farm

Archives
Domenico and Teresa Borgna, both born in Italy, arrived at Feluga in the Tully district in 1923 where they commenced sugar cane farming. Joe was a member of the Tully Sugar Mill Board for a number of years, and served on Cardwell Shire Council, although he also endured internment during the Second World War. The family of these early pioneers continues to operate the cane farm
