Black and white photograph of the second jetty at Cardwell. The original jetty that was built in 1872 was located out from near the old telegraph office and was destroyed by a cyclone. The jetty in this image, built near where the current jetty was completed in 1969, was itself damaged by the cyclone of 1918 and reduced drastically in length
