Sepia photograph of Trooper Harry Curtis who grew up in Murray Upper, enlisted in early 1915 and served at Gallipoli and the Middle East in the First World War. He served on Cardwell Shire Council and also joined the VDC in the Second World War. His name appears on the Honour Roll in Cardwell and Curtis Street, Tully was named after him
