P00289 ; 92.00174PFInformation with photo: William Willis’s first landfall was approximately 2 miles (2 2/3 km) south of the Tully River mouth on the 9th of September 1964. Local Tully Heads Identity and Primary School Teacher (Tully) Hank Penning (& former Dutch Naval Officer) greeted William Willis and his raft “Age Unlimited” on arrival. He journeyed some 8160 Nautical miles from Peru across the South Pacific
