Copy print showing the area being cleared for an airstrip on Dunk Island. Hugo Brassey commenced planning the aerodrome in 1938. An old McCormick Deering T20 tractor which had tracks was used, and also hand tools including axes and cross-cut saws. Eventually the strip reached a length of 1000 yards
